Headliners in Focus

Siamese, part of Denmark’s new wave of metal, is known for their genre-defying sound that blends metalcore with electronic elements and melodic hooks. Their sixth album, Elements, showcases their musical evolution, from the powerful opener “The Shape Of Water” to the experimental closer “This Is Not A Song.” With energetic live performances and a distinctive sound, Siamese promises an unforgettable headlining show.

Within Destruction, hailing from Slovenia, has become a staple of the European deathcore scene. Having already won over Romanian fans with appearances in Cluj and at Rockstadt Festival in 2023, the band is now set to conquer Bucharest for the first time. Their sound, originally rooted in slam and deathcore, now incorporates trap, nu metal, and Eastern influences. Signed to Sumerian Records in 2025, the band is preparing for a new chapter with an upcoming album.

Regional Highlights

From Moldova, Dark Structure brings raw deathcore energy, channeling modern societal frustration through brutal riffs and haunting atmosphere. Bulgaria’s Engineer of Death, one of the most promising names in their local scene, will introduce material from their anticipated second album, set for release in 2025.

Romania’s own June Turns Black mixes electronicore, djent, and screamo into emotionally charged performances. Their recent release, Wavebreaker, explores deep emotional trauma with intensity and precision.

Cluj-Napoca’s Diamonds Are Forever, active since 2011 and recently returning from a six-year hiatus, are back with a refreshed line-up and a new direction that will be revealed in an upcoming EP.

WE ARE NUMBERS is also back after six years, bringing their latest album Death Finds A Way, a hard-hitting mix of metalcore, slam, and hardcore released in partnership with Loud Rage Music.

For The Wicked, another Cluj-Napoca-based act, is known for blending modern metal with 90s alternative influences. Their 2025 single, “Venom,” marks a new phase for the band with a new vocalist.

Crize, long-time staples of the Romanian nu-metal/metalcore scene, recently released a new album, Egocid, and continue to tour and perform actively in 2025.

Taking Back August, formed in 2020, blends modern metalcore with strong conceptual themes. Their debut album, Chrysalis, explores life and death, and features their first Romanian-language track, “Anotimp,” in collaboration with Cătălin Chelemen (Coma).

Avoid Humanity emerged in 2017 and has since built a solid reputation with their hybrid of death metal and hardcore. Their Romanian-language single “Direcții” and frequent appearances at festivals and local clubs have helped cement their place in the underground scene.

Newcomers Hostvge, from Brașov, are a burst of energy. Formed in 2023, their music channels the aggression of bands like Knocked Loose and Thrown, offering a modern sound driven by dark electronics and brutal breakdowns.
