Rocanotherworld returns in 2025 for its milestone 10th edition, taking place from June 19 to 22 in Iași, Romania. Since its founding in 2016, the festival has grown into one of the most respected cultural events in the country, uniting a vibrant community under the guiding values #becurious, #bedifferent, and #beforothers.

More than just a music festival, Rocanotherworld combines live concerts, recreational activities, cultural dialogue, and social impact initiatives in a sustainable, inclusive environment. Each year, it becomes a hub for discovery, expression, and connection.
Line-up and Accessibility
This anniversary edition brings a bold and eclectic lineup of local, regional, and international artists, with more names still to be announced. The confirmed acts include:
Villagers [IE], Vița de Vie, byron & Classix Quartet, Omul cu Șobolani, Dl Goe, Gala [UA], Bedouin Soundclash [CA], Zdob și Zdub [MD], The Mono Jacks, Partizan, Toulouse Lautrec, Pinholes, The Kryptonite Sparks, E-an-na, Cuibul [MD], Claro Que No, and Charlie The Rabbit King.

- Students and pupils receive a 50% discount (with ID).
- Children under 12 attend free, accompanied by a ticketed adult.

About the Artists
Villagers [IE] – A critically acclaimed indie-folk project led by Conor O’Brien, Villagers brings poetic songwriting and emotional depth. With accolades like the Ireland Choice Music Prize and two Ivor Novello Awards, their music blends folk, pop, and rock with sincerity and nuance.
Vița de Vie [RO] – Romania’s most awarded and enduring alternative rock band, active since 1996. Known for explosive performances, thoughtful lyrics, and intricate production.
byron & Classix Quartet [RO] – One of the most innovative rock acts in Romania, byron mixes progressive, acoustic, and symphonic elements. They’ve played 100 meters underground in Salina Turda and composed an HBO soundtrack.
Omul cu Șobolani (OCS) [RO] – Formed in 1997, OCS are pioneers of Romanian alt-rock. With 8 albums and hundreds of shows, their grunge- and pop-infused sound has influenced generations.
Dl Goe [RO] – A vibrant fusion of pop, rock, gypsy-jazz, and blues, singing about the beauty and dilemmas of everyday life with sincerity and charm.
Gala [UA] – A Kyiv-based DJ and producer with over 14 years in the industry and 1,000+ events. Her style merges deep house with energetic sets and global electronic textures.
Bedouin Soundclash [CA] – Canadian fusion band that blends punk ethos with world music influences, reggae rhythms, and folk lyricism. Known for global collaborations and genre-bending records.
Zdob și Zdub [MD] – Moldova’s most iconic ethno-rock band. Combining hardcore with traditional instruments, they’ve played Eurovision three times and shared stages with Red Hot Chili Peppers and Linkin Park.
The Mono Jacks [RO] – A key player in Romania’s modern alt-rock scene. Founded by Doru Trăscău (ex-AB4), they’ve produced three critically acclaimed albums in Romanian and English.
Partizan [RO] – A satirical, experimental rock band born from the legendary Timpuri Noi. Known for their surreal lyrics and post-punk influences, they bring unpredictability to every performance.
Toulouse Lautrec [RO] – A post-indie/rock band with a flair for irony and poetic expression, combining visual artistry and stage charisma with a nostalgic nod to bohemian decadence.
Pinholes [RO] – Formed in Iași in 2011, their melancholic, poetic alt-rock sound draws from Moldavian roots and Eastern European aesthetics. Founders of Supersomnic Records.
The Kryptonite Sparks [RO] – A high-energy power trio blending indie, hard rock, and Britpop influences. Their shows combine music and visual storytelling into unforgettable experiences.
E-an-na [RO] – Romania’s new-generation folk-metal phenomenon. Known for their Eurovision success and energetic live shows, they’ve released five albums and earned a loyal fanbase.
Cuibul [MD] – A Moldovan rock institution with over 30 years of activity, Cuibul fuses funk, grunge, and traditional rock. Their latest album “Vamos” celebrates this rich legacy.
Claro Que No [RO] – A dance-rock project from Bucharest featuring members of byron, EMAA, and Valeria Stoica. Their debut EP We Couldn’t Settle On One (2025) blends QOTSA, Royal Blood, and R&B vibes.
Charlie The Rabbit King [RO] – DJ, producer, radio host, and founder of the band GOLAN. Known for high-octane live sets, label curation, and being a prominent voice in Romania’s electronic music community.
A Look Back: Rocanotherworld 2024
The 9th edition took place from June 20–23, 2024, welcoming over 18,000 attendees. Concerts, interactive installations, discussions, and workshops were hosted across several stages, with standout acts including Asaf Avidan, Alternosfera, COMA, Silent Strike, ARGATU, om la lună, and La Chica (FR). The Dome and Silent Disco stages hosted top DJs such as Rosario Internullo, Donisan, and Alien.

About the Festival
Rocanotherworld is a multi-sensory celebration of music, art, thought, people, and values, initiated in Iași in 2016 in memory of Ioan Dan Niculescu. Organized by Asociația Industrii Creative and Showberry, it’s a collective journey rooted in curiosity, difference, and social care.
Asociația Industrii Creative also runs Classix Festival, with a mission to revitalize Iași’s cultural scene and empower communities through participatory arts.
Showberry is a leading promoter of concerts and thematic events in northeast Romania, co-organizing Rocanotherworld since 2016 and Classix since 2020.
