On Tuesday, June 10, starting at 7:00 PM, J’ai Bistrot Bucharest (Calea Griviței 55) will host a new edition of Cozerie with Ruxandra, featuring special guest Dan Byron. The event will take place on the venue’s outdoor terrace and offers a relaxed, intimate atmosphere for a different kind of conversation—one that starts with music and flows into stories about life, memories, and identity.

Admission is free, but access is limited and available only by prior registration through the form. Seating is limited, so guests are kindly asked to register responsibly and to notify organizers if they can no longer attend in order to free up spots for others.

Dan Byron is a well-known figure in Romania’s alternative music scene, with over two decades of artistic activity. He is the founder and frontman of the band byron, which he started in 2006. With the band, he has released eight studio albums and three live DVDs. Byron composed the original soundtrack for an HBO Romania series and produced several standout live performances, including Live Underground—filmed in the Turda Salt Mine—and Electric Marching Band, featuring a military marching band and a student choir.

Throughout his career, Dan has collaborated with renowned Romanian artists such as Alexandru Andrieș, Nicu Alifantis, Paula Seling, and Luiza Zan. Passionate about the craft of songwriting, he has also led workshops on the topic at the Mastering the Music Business conference.

Cozerie with Ruxandra is a series of events focused on meaningful conversations centered around music. Each edition invites a new guest to share several personally significant songs and the stories behind them. These musical confessions are followed by an informal social session and a curated playlist chosen by the guest.

The host, Ruxandra Păduraru, is an anthropologist, university assistant, and experienced interviewer. With a keen eye for detail and a deep curiosity for the human experience, she creates a space where unfiltered emotion and honest dialogue take center stage. Ruxandra believes in the power of music to connect people and reveal personal truths.
