LACUNA COIL, the superstar Italian metal band, is confirmed to play at the Posada Rock Festival 2025! They’ll be headlining on the evening of August 29th, bringing a special setlist that will premiere new tracks from their latest album, “Sleepless Empire,” alongside all their greatest hits and those unforgettable choruses that grab you and don’t let go.

LACUNA COIL holds a special place in the history of global metal, largely due to the charismatic Cristina Scabbia, one of the most acclaimed vocalists in the genre. With a career spanning over 30 years, during which they’ve released 10 studio albums and sold over 2 million records, the band has toured worldwide and performed alongside major names in the metal scene. LACUNA COIL’s music seamlessly blends gothic, alternative, and nu-metal influences, featuring melodic passages and powerful riffs. The striking contrast between the female and male vocals (Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro) has earned the Italians millions of fans and significant music industry awards.

Their new album, “Sleepless Empire,” released in February of this year, is a perfect soundtrack to modern chaos: heavy, dark, melodic, and full of raw power. From the colossal chorus of the opening track, “The Siege,” through the captivating “I Wish You Were Dead,” or the classic feel of the title track, and up to “Hosting the Shadow,” which features Randy Blythe (Lamb of God) on guest vocals, the album overflows with inspiration, energy, and melody.

LACUNA COIL joins an already impressive lineup for this year’s Posada Rock Festival, including HYPOCRISY, THE HALO EFFECT, GEOFF TATE, and FLOTSAM AND JETSAM. The lineup will be further completed with other well-known bands, including another headliner. The festival will also host the final of Romania’s oldest and most prestigious rock competition, where bands will compete for prizes worth thousands of euros.

The Posada Rock Festival will take place from August 29-31, 2025, in Câmpulung Muscel. It’s organized by the Rock Culture Association in partnership with the Câmpulung Municipality City Hall and is a priority project of the Ministry of Culture.
