Rana is a melancholic alternative rock band formed in Pitești in the autumn of 2016. Their sound ranges from alternative rock to indie-emo rock, with lyrics mostly about love, but also touching on social themes.

“Război” is the second single from their upcoming album “Despre Dragoste și Alte Dezastre” (“About Love and Other Disasters”). It’s a song about a relationship where things are far from perfect—a once fiery love that deteriorates toward its end. The two lovers try to preserve what remains, clinging to hope for salvation—a kind of cryogenic freeze, a war fought barehanded where no one dies, a loop where it’s always morning, always a new beginning, a second chance.

The single is available on all streaming platforms and will be performed live on September 21 at Control Club. Tickets are available via iabilet.ro.

About the concert
Bogdan Tănăsescu shares:

“It will take place right when autumn begins, just a day before the equinox, and it will perfectly match the darker atmosphere of Rana’s songs and of the new single. We’ll also play other tracks—both old and new—in the beautifully renovated hall at Control. We can’t wait to meet again—in the season that fits Rana best. Lots of clothes, lots of colors, lots of souls.”

Rana are:
Bogdan Tănăsescu – guitar & vocals
Mihai Matei – bass
Ștefan Maidaniuc – drums
