Between September 29 and October 5, 2025, Quantic in Bucharest becomes the beating heart of alternative culture. Now at its 9th edition, QFest once again condenses an entire year of music into one intense week.

The festival is more than a gathering of concerts—it’s a living archive of the artists who have shaped Quantic’s stage. From alternative rock to black metal, from indie poetry to Balkan grooves, QFest offers seven nights of sound, rhythm, and stories.

Day 1 – September 29

The festival opens with a night of powerful emotions, combining the poetic distortion of Alternosfera with the fresh voices of Îngeri și Corbi and Far Away From Earth.

Alternosfera

From Chișinău, Alternosfera have grown into one of Eastern Europe’s most iconic alternative rock bands. Their sound is dense yet poetic, a blend of anthemic guitars and lyrics that question, provoke, and heal. With songs like “Haosoleum” and “Două Eve,” they’ve become a voice for a generation in search of meaning. On stage, they create not just music but catharsis.

Îngeri și Corbi

With roots in Transylvania, Îngeri și Corbi weave nu-metal heaviness into grunge-inspired melodies. Their songs wrestle with pain, restlessness, and redemption, pulling the listener into raw confessions. Their live shows are equal parts intensity and release—a space where vulnerability feels powerful.

Far Away From Earth

This young act already sounds larger than life, with music that bridges alternative rock, post-rock, and metal. Their atmospheric passages rise into explosive climaxes, like soundtracks to unwritten films. Far Away From Earth deliver an emotional journey with each performance.

Day 2 – September 30

A night for timeless legends, where tribute bands revive the spirit of Pink Floyd, Rush, and Black Sabbath with passion and precision.

Speak Floyd

Speak Floyd don’t just play Pink Floyd’s music—they recreate its dreamlike atmosphere. With elaborate arrangements and attention to detail, they bring classics like “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” to life, inviting the audience to lose themselves in soundscapes that blur the line between reality and reverie.

Subdivisions

As Romania’s premier Rush tribute act, Subdivisions channel the technical brilliance of one of rock’s most complex bands. From dazzling solos to intricate rhythmic progressions, their performances highlight Rush’s genius while adding vibrant energy of their own.

Paranoik

Paying homage to Black Sabbath, Paranoik summon the dark riffs and heavy groove that birthed heavy metal. Their shows are raw, visceral experiences that remind audiences why Sabbath remains the genre’s cornerstone.

Day 3 – October 1

This is the night for poets with electric guitars—a blend of indie rock, alternative energy, and lyrical depth.

Robin and the Backstabbers

Robin and the Backstabbers have become a defining voice of Romanian indie rock. Their music balances melancholy and mystery, with lyrics that cut deep and atmospheres that hover between dream and nightmare. On stage, they create worlds where joy and sadness dance together.

The Kryptonite Sparks

Explosive and witty, The Kryptonite Sparks are masters of infectious riffs and sharp humor. Their blend of indie rock and power pop comes with British-style irony, creating shows that are as entertaining as they are musically dynamic.

Nuanțe

A band that thrives on contrasts, Nuanțe builds soundscapes that shift from fragile introspection to bursts of intensity. Their modern approach resonates with listeners looking for both atmosphere and authenticity.

Day 4 – October 2

The festival’s most colorful evening, Day 4 is pure dance and celebration. Balkan rhythms, funk, and Latin rock collide in a carnival of sound.

Bosquito

Few Romanian bands have managed to fuse so many influences so naturally. Bosquito’s music travels from Latin rock to gypsy-inspired melodies and Balkan grooves. Their hits have become staples of live parties, and their concerts are explosive gatherings of energy and joy.

Dl Goe

Playful and unpredictable, Dl Goe mix funk grooves with witty lyrics and a contagious appetite for fun. Their shows are musical pranks, filled with humor and an irresistible beat that keeps audiences moving.

Sukar Nation

Specialists in Balkan and world music fusions, Sukar Nation bring fire to the stage. Their performances feel like spontaneous carnivals—colorful, wild, and impossible to resist.

Day 5 – October 3

A plunge into darker waters—Day 5 is where alternative rock meets post-hardcore and metalcore, in an emotional storm.

Luna Amară

One of the most respected Romanian alternative rock bands, Luna Amară are known for their intense sound and socially conscious lyrics. Their music speaks of pain, protest, and hope, and their concerts are emotional journeys where every note feels vital.

June Turns Black

Their music fuses melodic passages with explosive post-hardcore energy. The result is raw, emotional, and cathartic, perfect for those who want heavy music with heart.

Taking Back August

Modern, aggressive, and versatile, Taking Back August mix alternative rock with metalcore influences. Their dynamic stage presence turns every concert into a rallying cry for living fully in the moment.

Give em Blood

Hailing from Austria, Give em Blood bring a devastating mix of metalcore, deathcore, and hardcore. Their shows are brutal yet calculated, with crushing breakdowns and sudden melodic turns that leave audiences breathless.

Day 6 – October 4

The traditional metal night, where fury, pain, and beauty coexist on the same stage.

GAEREA

Masked and enigmatic, GAEREA are one of the most important forces in the new wave of extreme black metal. With albums like Limbo and Mirage, they’ve gained worldwide recognition for their blend of violence, atmosphere, and visual artistry. Their concerts feel less like shows and more like rituals of darkness.

Crimena

With over a decade on the scene, Crimena have become a reference point in Romanian modern metal. Their mix of industrial, groove, and hardcore is relentless, and their live energy has cemented them as one of the country’s most uncompromising acts.

Hangover in Minsk

A newcomer to the post-black metal world, Hangover in Minsk quickly stood out with their 2025 debut Party Is Over. Their music balances atmospheric melancholy with eruptions of intensity, channeling despair and beauty in equal measure.

Redux

Winners of Posada Rock Festival 2025, Redux represent the next generation of Romanian metal. Young and hungry, they merge metalcore, post-hardcore, and alternative in a sound that feels both fresh and fierce.

Day 7 – October 5

The festival’s grand finale is not a quiet goodbye but a celebration of connection, vulnerability, and rhythm.

Satoshi

From the Republic of Moldova, Satoshi has captivated audiences with songs that confront vulnerability, self-doubt, and the hope for a kinder world. In his live shows with full band, he blends drum’n’bass, rap, rock, and ballads into explosive performances. His collaborations with Carla’s Dreams and Irina Rimes have already brought him acclaim, but it’s on stage that his music feels most alive.

The Groovy Bastards

Formed in 2015 in Bucharest, The Groovy Bastards are impossible to pin down. Funk, jazz, rock, and hip-hop flow seamlessly in their sets, creating playful and virtuosic performances. With their 2024 album Charades, they confirmed their status as one of Romania’s most original underground acts.

A Festival That Resonates

QFest 2025 is not just about concerts—it’s about living seven days as if they contained a whole year of music. From Alternosfera’s poetic rebellion to GAEREA’s ritualistic darkness, from the joyful chaos of Bosquito and Sukar Nation to Satoshi’s fearless vulnerability, the festival covers the entire emotional spectrum of contemporary rock and beyond.

At Quantic, when the last note of QFest fades, it doesn’t end in silence—it lingers, an echo that binds the community until next year.
