Bucharest’s Control Club continues its ctrl LIVE series this fall with an electrifying lineup curated by OneDay, bringing together some of the most vital and uncompromising acts in contemporary music. From Saharan desert blues and post-punk ferocity to Belgian garage energy and Danish noise-pop elegance, the next months promise unforgettable nights of sound and spirit.

Bombino (Niger)
Thursday, October 16

Tuareg guitar hero Bombino returns to Control Club, bringing the desert winds of Niger back to Bucharest. The first-ever GRAMMY-nominated artist from his country, Bombino presents Sahel his most personal and politically charged record yet.
Produced by David Wrench (David Byrne, Frank Ocean, Caribou, The xx), Sahel bridges the timeless rhythms of the Tuareg tradition with a distinctly modern pulse. It’s music that celebrates identity and survival, fusing centuries-old sounds with hypnotic repetition and the fire of rock and techno.

shame (UK)
Tuesday, October 28

South London’s shame are back louder, sharper, and more fearless than ever. On tour for their new album Cutthroat, the band pushes the boundaries of British post-punk with raw intensity and twisted humor. Frontman Charlie Steen commands the stage with unfiltered energy a live performance that feels like a shared catharsis between band and audience. Produced by Grammy winner John Congleton, Cutthroat captures shame at full throttle: wild, hungry, and unapologetic.

SONS (Belgium)
Wednesday, November 26

Belgian powerhouse SONS bring their explosive energy to Control as part of their Hallo tour. Known for their dynamic blend of garage rock and punk grooves, the band’s new single “Do My Thing” shows their evolution toward a more danceable, shimmering sound.
Working with British producer Dave McCracken (dEUS, A$AP Rocky, Depeche Mode), SONS step boldly into a new era confident, infectious, and unfit*withable. Expect pure adrenaline from one of Belgium’s fiercest live acts.

Yellow Days (UK)
Saturday, November 29

Genre-bending British artist Yellow Days makes his long-awaited Control debut. Blurring the lines between psychedelic soul, lo-fi pop, and jazz-infused funk, George van den Broek’s introspective songwriting has made him a voice for his generation.
From the bedroom dreamscapes of Is Everything Okay in Your World? to the expansive grooves of A Day in a Yellow Beat, Yellow Days continues to evolve exploring themes of love, anxiety, and self-discovery through his unmistakable sound and magnetic live presence.

New Model Army (UK)
Tuesday, December 2

Legendary English rockers New Model Army return to Bucharest as part of their Unbroken European tour. With over four decades of defiant, politically charged music behind them, the band remains a towering force in post-punk and alternative rock.
Their 16th studio album, Unbroken (2024), mixed by Tchad Blake, has been hailed as one of their most powerful works to date a blend of anthemic guitars, urgent vocals, and unwavering spirit. Expect a career-spanning set from one of the most influential bands of their generation.

The Raveonettes (Denmark)
Saturday, December 13

A decade since their last visit, The Raveonettes return to Control Club for a long-awaited show. The Danish duo of Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo have been redefining rock for over twenty years merging 1950s melodies and 60s girl-group harmonies with walls of noise, surf guitars, and modern edge.
Their upcoming album Pe’ahi 2 continues their exploration of beauty and darkness, balancing fragility and distortion in perfect symmetry. A Raveonettes show is a fullspectrum experience intimate and explosive, nostalgic and futuristic.
Get ready for the sound of 2025 delivered by two artists who never stopped evolving.
