On October 29, 2025, CUIBUL will release the album “BREAK THE BRANCHES, BREAK THE STICKS” on vinyl at Echoes Haus Bucharest, marking the 30th anniversary of this legendary record.

The Moldovan band CUIBUL celebrates 30 years since the album’s release with a series of anniversary concerts. For the first time in decades, the group will perform in its original 1994 lineup: Igor Dînga (vocals, guitar), Igor Coșolean (saxophone, acoustic guitar), Ghenadie Barbu (drums), and Andrei Boico (bass guitar). The band’s current guitarist, Sergiu Vatavu, will also join the shows.
The album was created during the golden age of the grunge movement. Inspired by the new wave of alternative music, CUIBUL traveled to Moscow to record at Stas Namin Center Studio, which was designed following a project by Frank Zappa. There, the band recorded 10 tracks in just 10 days.
The album was originally released on CD in 1994, and its presentation in Chișinău came with a surprise: the opening act was an unnamed hardcore band that would, a year later, become Zdob și Zdub. It was also the first Moldovan music album ever released on CD.
In 2025, the album was remastered and released for the first time on vinyl, in a limited edition. The record is already available in the Cărturești bookstore network in Romania and Moldova, on Overground.ro, and will also be available for purchase at the concerts.
Tickets for the concert are now available on iabilet.
