“Lust Twirling” is the third track from the Walking to the Moon’s debut EP, Oxigen. The group decided to release each song individually at first, as each one explores a slightly different style. While Kinda Strange presents a philosophical theme and Naive brings a funky groove, Lust Twirling incorporates heavier musical elements.

A defining aspect of this song is the collaboration with Delia Tărcăoanu, the lead vocalist of Not My Cup of Tea. The band was looking to include an experimental element, a voice capable of evoking nostalgia and melancholy.

Work on the track began around May, with several live tests during summer festival performances. However, something still felt missing. In August, the band started recording a demo, during which Tea added a bass solo on the bridge. That’s when the idea to collaborate with Delia emerged.

A few days before the scheduled studio session, Delia sent over a demo featuring her vocals on the bridge. Everything sounded great, and a day before recording with Matei Tibacu, the band suggested that she also record doubles for the choruses.

The penultimate track of the EP, Ucronic, will also be released soon. Looking ahead, through the support of DJ Hefe and Foreign Humor Production, the band hopes to release a new version of Undeva by the end of the year, featuring the vocalist of a well-known Romanian band. Without revealing too much, it can be said that this particular band significantly influenced the creation of that song.
