Swedish post-rock band Oh Hiroshima will perform for the first time in Bucharest on October 26, at Quantic Club, as part of their European tour promoting the latest album All Things Shining. The evening will open with a special performance by Romanian instrumental act Am Fost La Munte Și Mi-a Plăcut.

Formed in Kristinehamn, Sweden, Oh Hiroshima began as a DIY post-rock project between Leif Eliasson and Jakob Hemström and soon evolved into one of the genre’s most respected names. Today, the band revolves around brothers Jakob Hemström and Oskar Nilsson, known for crafting a cinematic, emotionally charged sound that blends atmospheric post-rock with elements of shoegaze, indie-rock, and post-punk.

Their debut Resistance Is Futile (2011) was followed by In Silence We Yearn (2015), a breakthrough release that found wide success online and led to collaborations with Napalm Records, who reissued their earlier works and supported the band’s growth. With Oscillation (2019) and Myriad (2022), Oh Hiroshima continued refining their sound, exploring deeper textures and wider dynamics.

Their latest record, All Things Shining (released in June 2024 under Pelagic Records), marks a new creative peak for the band a thoughtful yet powerful collection that pushes their sonic boundaries even further. On October 26, Bucharest audiences will experience this new material live, alongside a selection of essential tracks from across the band’s discography.
