Legendary English rockers New Model Army return to Bucharest in 2025 for a highly anticipated performance at Control Club on December 2, as part of the European tour supporting their sixteenth studio album, Unbroken, released in 2024.

Formed in Bradford in 1980, New Model Army continue to storm through their fifth decade with characteristic intensity and creative drive. In September 2023, the band released Sinfonia, a powerful live double album recorded with the Sinfonia Leipzig Orchestra at Berlin’s famed Tempodrom — a unique and ambitious collaboration that further cemented their reputation for fearless reinvention.

Their acclaimed sixteenth studio album, Unbroken (January 2024), reached top positions in album charts worldwide and has been praised for its unmistakable NMA energy and contemporary urgency. With an extensive touring schedule spanning the UK, Europe and Latin America, and with many Spring 2024 dates selling out, the band expanded their run with Unbroken Tour Part II, adding more than 20 shows across Europe.

Written between 2021 and 2022, Unbroken reflects the turbulent era in which it was created. The band enlisted legendary producer Tchad Blake to mix the album, resulting in a record driven by searing vocals, dynamic guitars, and the unmistakable bass-and-drum power that defines New Model Army’s sound — familiar yet evolving.

Critics have been enthusiastic, with Vive Le Rock calling the album:

With over forty years of history, constant evolution, and a fiercely dedicated global fanbase known as The Family, New Model Army remain one of the most enduring and influential bands to emerge from the UK’s alternative music scene.
