Ancestral have released “Endless Midnight,” their first single to be accompanied by an official music video, filmed during HillsFest Iași. The track offers an introduction to the band’s sound and will be featured on their upcoming debut release, titled Hatched into Extinction.

Ancestral is a progressive metal band from Iași, Romania. The project initially began as an instrumental endeavor founded by Tudor Stroescu on lead guitar, Ștefan Teo on rhythm guitar, and David Christescu on drums. With the later addition of Mihai Hrițcan on vocals and Marc Daniel on bass, the band solidified its current lineup and artistic direction.

The band’s sound shifts between atmospheric, introspective passages and energetic, technically driven sections, built around recurring themes and elaborate variations. This contrast lies at the core of Ancestral’s identity, blending emotional depth with complex progressive structures.
