PLANT are coming back to Control Club for a show you really shouldn’t miss.
The Bucharest trio are ready to unveil their second full-length album, Evenimentul Major, marking a new chapter in the sonic experiment they proudly call “modest rock.”

After making waves in the underground with their debut album Electrocasnic (2023) a raw, hook-filled release packed with sticky choruses PLANT followed up with the punk cassette BAU! (2024), drenched in fuzz and skeletons. Now, it’s time for album number two.

So far, the band have already dropped four tracks from the upcoming record, and two of them “Astă Seară” and “TvStar” have been released with official music videos, giving a first taste of the new era.

“Evenimentul Major clocks in at 42 minutes and promises exactly what fans have come to expect: loud new songs, stretched across the same ironic and emotionally charged lyrical spectrum. The band describes the record as a kind of apocalyptic mini-epic about vices, unrealized potential, and black tea. We’re all sitting here, patiently waiting for Evenimentul Major.” — Sergiu Frățilă, PLANT

Supporting Acts

Coridor, Apt. (Coridor, Apartament)
A Bucharest-based Midwest emo band performing in Romanian, Coridor, Apt. blend emotional screams, layered harmonies, odd time signatures, and fuzzy guitar riffs. Beneath the noise lie sensitive, frustratingly catchy lyrics and memorable vocal melodies.
Line-up: Ștefan (vocals/guitar), Rareș (guitar), David (drums), Victor (bass/vocals).

Orange Peel Her
Formed about a year ago, Orange Peel Her is driven by a shared goal: making music without limitations. With an emphasis on noisy textures and zero interest in sticking to a single genre, the band draws inspiration from noise, riot grrrl, and other projects that break conventional patterns both sonically and in attitude.

Tickets are available here.

On January 24, PLANT officially go into surgery for the first modest rock transplant. If you’re ready for volume, irony, and emotional chaos.
