Garnoo has released the music video for the song “When I’m Gone,” a collaboration with Tunisian rapper EMIR. The track blends alternative rock and rap, reminiscent of bands like Highly Suspect and Twenty One Pilots.

The themes explored revolve around perseverance in the creative process despite the difficulties present in the underground scene, as well as a critique of a culture that only recognizes artists once they are no longer among us.

“It’s so easy for us to discredit other people’s work, especially when we have no idea what’s actually happening behind the scenes. I wanted to capture a small piece of this life. At the core, we’re just troubadours trying to make a positive impact on the communities we interact with. We chose music for its power to bring people closer together. We’re not making a fortune—I’ve been taking money out of my own pocket for 18 years to support this passion. The greatest wealth is spiritual—the satisfaction you feel when you see people enjoying themselves and smiling,” Garnoo explains.

The video was filmed predominantly during the “Be Different” Tour 2025, but it also includes archival footage referencing moments mentioned in the song (e.g., “Homie almost killed me on the stage, but only cracked my bean” or “Last year I broke my leg, finished the show”). The editing was done by Garnoo, while the filming, animation, and effects were handled by Anna Vixie.

The song was composed, produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered at Liveset Recording Studio by Garnoo, who also wrote the lyrics, except for EMIR’s verse. “When I’m Gone” can also be found on the album “Happy Kid.”
