Omul cu Șobolani released “Casa cu gratii de argint”, a new single accompanied by a music video, speaking about the illusion of comfort that keeps us stuck and the truths we choose to ignore.

“Casa cu gratii de argint” is a snapshot of contemporary society, about systems we willingly move into without visible constraints and the compromises we silently accept. The song addresses the normalization of the absurd, increasingly blurred moral boundaries, and a world that too often pretends nothing is happening.
Its message works as a direct and uncomfortable social commentary on how violence, injustice, and hypocrisy come to be tolerated or even validated, as long as they are packaged in an “acceptable” form. Rather than pointing fingers at specific culprits, “Casa cu gratii de argint” exposes the mechanism through which reality becomes bearable only when we choose not to confront it head-on.
Musically, the track blends alternative rock with post-punk and grunge influences, building constant tension between sharp guitar riffs and a heavy rhythmic backbone.
The song is available on streaming platforms.
Dan Amariei states:
“We have reached a point where madness is already legalized.
It is considered normal to attack innocent countries, to want new territories simply because you can, to shoot people because of the color of their skin, to kill women in the middle of the street without facing consequences.
To claim you represent justice, yet behave like the worst kind of criminal.
We live in a society where the aggressor is rewarded, the unreal has become ordinary, good is no longer truly good, and yet everyone pretends not to notice.
This is the new ‘house with silver bars’ we have been moved into without even realizing it.”
“Casa cu gratii de argint” will be featured on the upcoming album “Distopia”, scheduled for release this autumn, both in physical format and online. The album will also include tracks such as “Ai picioare prea lungi”, “Îmi place” and “Evoluția de catifea” (feat. Erika Isac).
