Kadjavsi is the musical project of artist Nikita Dembinski, launched in 2017 as an exploration of improvised ambient soundscapes created at the piano. Over time, Dembinski expanded the project’s boundaries toward alternative pop, marking a turning point with the release of the single “Each Day” (2021), where he also made his debut as a vocalist.

His debut album, Second Sun (2022), was met with strong enthusiasm from both audiences and critics, who described it as one of the most promising releases on the local alternative scene. Since then, Kadjavsi has performed at some of Romania’s most important festivals including Electric Castle, Summer Well, Europavox Festival, TIFF, and BuSH Budapest earning recognition for the powerful energy of his live performances.

Released in October 2025, Kadjavsi’s second album, Above Albatross, stands as a manifesto for vulnerability and empathy in an increasingly fragmented world. The albatross the album’s creative nucleus serves as a metaphor for the human desire to reach something real that always seems just beyond the span of our wings.

In February 2026, Kadjavsi released Above Albatross | Live From Strata Modul, a live compilation featuring five tracks from the album, capturing the raw intensity of the project’s live sound.
