Tickets are available through the Eventbook network.
Event schedule:

Originally from Glasgow, Humour formed during the 2021 lockdowns, when the band’s members began writing and recording music at home. Their songs developed as atmospheric backdrops for the sharp, narrative-driven lyrics of vocalist Andreas Christodoulidis. After releasing several independent demos, the band signed with So Young Records, and their first single, Yeah, Mud!, quickly drew attention from music publications such as NME, Clash, DIY, and Dork.
Their debut EP, Pure Misery, further cemented the band’s reputation within the UK alternative scene, with tracks receiving airplay on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6 Music. Humour was also included in the NME 100 list and BBC Scotland’s Top 25 Artists for 2023. The EP’s release was followed by tours and festival appearances across the UK and Europe, as well as showcase performances at SXSW in Austin, Texas.
The band’s most recent release, their debut album Learning Greek (2025), has been described by the music press as “a slow-motion panic attack.” With this record, the Glasgow avant-punk outfit explores existential themes in an ambitious and often absurd narrative centered around identity and family memory. At the heart of the story is vocalist Andreas Christodoulidis, whose attempt to learn the Greek language becomes an unexpected journey into his own roots. The album unfolds through surreal imagery: his father reading Greek poetry, ghosts of ancient warriors making visits, and even a serial killer complaining about bad Yelp reviews.
Opening the evening, Air Lines is a fast-paced noise band from Bucharest founded by Augustin Nicolae (distorted bass and vocals) together with producer Ștefan Lăzărică. The project debuted in 2020 with a DIY music video released online. In 2023, the band released the EP Temples, pressed on vinyl in a limited edition. The material was promoted through a series of concerts, including opening shows for Omul cu Șobolani, as well as performances across Romania and Bulgaria. Air Lines are currently working on their second album, A Leap in Disbelief.
The concert is part of Humour’s European tour and marks the band’s first meeting with audiences in Romania.
The Humour + Air Lines concert in Bucharest is organized by Control Club with the support of OneDay.
