The Voodoo Child invites the public to a special concert on March 26 at Echoes Haus club, an event marking the pre release of their new single “Strigăt.”

Formed in Iași in 2018, the band consists of Andrei Cerbu, Robert Ciubotaru, and Teodor Cușnir, joined by Romina Apostol, whose vocals completed the lineup in 2021. The Voodoo Child has solidified its musical identity, building a sound that blends the energy of modern rock with strong emotional depth.
“Do you feel stuck, trapped in a world where you no longer belong? Are you looking for an escape, even just for one night, wanting to feel alive, free, and at peace? Or maybe you just want to listen to some good live music, drink a few beers, and be around people who make you happy? Then on March 26, at Echoes Haus Bucharest, you will find your solution. The Voodoo Child is releasing the single ‘Strigăt,’ a reflection of the attempt to escape one’s own captivity, a ‘cry’ for help. We will be there for you, all you have to do is bring your ticket and your good vibes, and we will see you there starting at 20:00,” the band members stated.
With two studio albums to their name, the most recent being “From The Dark” (2023), the band presents an intense musical concept centered on a love doomed to fade. Over time, The Voodoo Child has performed on major stages across Romania, including Open Air Blues Festival Brezoi, KIMARO, Bucovina Motorfest, and Hard Rock Cafe Bucharest.
In 2023, the band received an award at Constelații Rock Râmnicu Vâlcea, confirming the rise of a group that continues to expand its horizons and take its music further.
The March 26 concert will mark the pre release of the single “Strigăt,” a new track that promises to bring even more intensity to the band’s sonic universe.
Special guests: Maerigold
The evening will be opened by Maerigold, whose musical universe has been built over time with patience, obsession, and instinct, a place where sound has been shaped layer by layer until it became a world of its own.
What defines Maerigold is the fusion of contrasts, heavy and fragile, intimate and violent. Melancholic ballads transform into explosions of classic rock energy, while rhythmically complex tracks draw you into a darker, visceral, and hard to define space. Everything they create is guided by atmosphere, tension, and unfiltered emotion.
Those who have discovered the project place Maerigold somewhere between Om la Lună, Coma, and Grimus, reinterpreted through a modern lens inspired by Deftones, Sleep Token, and Thornhill.
The March 26 concert promises an intense evening for fans of alternative and modern rock, marking both the pre release of the single “Strigăt” and the meeting of two musical projects that build their identity through sonic contrasts, expressiveness, and attitude.
