On March 31, 2026, Rana will release the album “Despre dragoste și alte dezastre” (“About Love and Other Disasters”) through a special concert at Control Club in Bucharest. The event marks an important moment in the band’s journey: their first full-length album after nearly ten years of activity. Access is based on tickets available only at the entrance on the day of the concert.

“Despre dragoste și alte dezastre” contains nine tracks built to tell multiple stories and guide the listener through different emotions, with love remaining the common thread — the inevitable feeling that shapes, changes, and sometimes shakes everything. The album is available for streaming on all platforms starting today, March 27, 2026.
“You’ll hear songs about relationships you’re not sure whether you should leave behind or not, as well as songs where everything seems possible when you’re in love. Songs that say you wish you had more time, others about regrets and ‘what if?’ questions. Songs about that feeling — when you love — that you can do anything. With this album, we explored a lot. We tried to step out of our comfort zone, both in sound and lyrics. But we always kept the theme we’ve been wrestling with for 10 years: love. Listen. Remember. Feel. Learn. Get ready. Dance. Cry.” says Bogdan Tănăsescu.
True to the style that has defined them from the beginning, Rana continues to blend melancholic alternative rock with indie-emo influences and introspective lyrics centered on love and personal struggles. This time, however, the band explores more than ever, both sonically and lyrically, marking a clear artistic maturation.

Formed in Pitești in 2016, Rana currently consists of Bogdan Tănăsescu (guitar and vocals), Mihai Matei (bass), and Ștefan Maidaniuc (drums). Over the years, the band has released three EPs — “Verde Electric” in 2022, “Codependent” in 2023, and “Noi doi..(versus restul lumii)” in 2024 — and has performed numerous concerts on important stages throughout the country.
