When you’ve heard about this series, you’ve probably thought about the success of the Romanian bands at Wacken. Yes, this is a reason why I’ve decided to make this, but not the only one.
According to Encyclopaedia Metallum, there are at least 400 metal bands from Romania and a lot of rock, folk and indie bands. Also, Romania hosts popular metal festivals like Rockstadt Extreme Fest, Metalhead Meeting or Artmania Fest, which featured artists like Tarja, Kreator, Eluveitie, Beyond The Black, Opeth or Lacuna Coil.
Also, huge alternative-indie festivals like Summer Well, Neversea, Electric Castle, Untold or Afterhills take place every year in Romania.
In addition, summer of 2019 will be an entertaining one for the Romanian metalheads as The Cure, Bon Jovi, Ghost and Metallica will all come in Bucharest.
