Infected Rain is one of the biggest and most popular East European bands and we think that 2019 will be their year!

It’s only February and the metal band from Moldova has already announced more than 60 shows in Europe, including an amazing tour with Lacuna Coil and Eluveitie.

But what are their expectations and goals for 2019? We’ve got the pleasure to talk with Lena “Scissorhands”, the vocalist of Infected Rain and one of the greatest female metal voices of this century.

You are probably the biggest band ever from Moldova. How it feels like?

We never considered ourselves big or the biggest from Moldova, we just like to dream big and try to achieve everything we dream about. It is true that there are not to many bands from our country that made it far but we believe that in Moldova there are a lot of talented people that one day are going to earn the world’s love.

“Orphan Soul” is one of the most popular songs made by you. What inspired you to create it?

Creating “Orphan Soul” was both easy and hard because the main theme and plot of the lyrics and the music video are inspired by a true story. It was easy because we all worked together and created this very typical family issue, a family issue that unfortunately is present in lots of families. It was difficult because family is all we have and this matter is really sensitive for us and everyone else in the world. Our goal was to deliver raw emotions and true stories.

What are you expecting from the tour with Lacuna Coil and Eluveitie?

Just like from any other tour we expect to have fun, share our music with a lot of people and touch a lot of souls. With this tour it is going to be double fun because both these bands are amazing people and talented musicians. It is an honor to work and share this experience with such people.

Do you have plans for new songs or a new album in 2019?

Yes indeed we do! We can’t tell you any dates yet, but we promise you a lot of new songs and good news in 2019.

Do you have any message for your fans and people who are going to read this article?
