France and the music stars, what an amazing story. Now, it seems like the future rock stars of France are coming from Paris.

After the huge success of Gojira, new bands started their ascensions, but a band is above the others. We are talking about ONLAP, the future legends of France.

But what are they thinking about this and what are their future plans? We’ve tried to find out from Florian, the General Manager of ONLAP.

Why have you made the band?

We are friends since college, about 15 years now. It’s above all a family story. We made a band ’cause it was the golden time of 2000’s rock bands, and we loved them all !! Classic story actually 🙂

Where does the name come from?

The name’s research was about finding something unknown on Google, and quite original, and not long. We kept ONLAP ’cause it was the best finding, and rang quite cool to our ears.

Who are your rock stars idols / band idols?

Seether, Nickelback, Linkin Park, Deftones, Story of the Year, and many more !

What song that you’ve made do you think is the best and why?

Good, and hard question ! I guess we wouldn’t have the same choice in the band. I guess it could be Fight Like the Devil, ’cause it’s into a real universe and topic, about survival and never give up. The song is also well finished and produced, and has a real personality.

What inspires you to release new songs?

Fans !! And having more moments all together. As I said, it’s above all a family story so we want to make shows and music together. And we want to try to make our fans glad and happy to listen to our new songs every time so we work hard for that.

Do you think that ONLAP can be as big as Gojira?

Wow, we cannot say yes, Gojira is so wonderful, unique. They are genius. We will try to make the best of us, and it will be cool. For the rest, we will see !!

What plans do you have for 2019?

Many ! We will play a few times in live shows in France and Switzerland, we will release the biggest song/video since Running in 2016, and a few more surprises!!! That will be a big year for ONLAP !!

What is your message for all your fans and people who are going to
read this article?

We love you guys. We say it as often as we can on our social medias, but it’s the simple truth. All of what happen to us is thanks to you. And we try to give it back to you trough our music.

We’ve discovered ONLAP in 2016 on Montage Rock and we thought “Wow, this sounds amazing” so we kept an eye on their new songs and concerts. Our prediction? ONLAP will have concerts all over the world in just few years, why not a tour with Gojira or another huge metal band from Europe?
