“Two Minutes” and Chill

In December, we had the amazing opportunity to see Nuanţe live for the first time.

The alternative rock band from Piteşti, which was founded in 2016, has just released their debut album “Două Minute” (“Two Minutes”) last year. The album was a praised by a lot of people and was also nominated for Romanian Album of the Year in 2019 by our publication.

We’ve tried to find out more about their story, their plans and their expectations for the new year. Here is what they said!

Why did you start the band?

The band was born out of our wish to express different moods, emotions, frustrations and events and out of hope that the people who listen to us will resonate with them.

What does the name of the band stand for?

The name of the band reflects the diversity of the themes and subjects found in our verses and sounds.

Who are your musical idols?

Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Incubus, Nothing But Thieves, Jeff Buckley, Queens of the Stone Age and many others.

Which is your target as a band for the next 5-10 years?

Our objective is to sing as much as possible, in as many cities in the country as possible, to succeed in recording as many of the songs we wrote and to reach as many ears and souls as possible.

A while ago you released the album “Două Minute”. Where did the inspiration for the songs come from?

The album illustrates a few peisages that are specific to the youth of man, a few situations that we encounter whether we want to or not.

Which one do you think is the best song on the album?

All of our songs are our children and we love them equally. We will never be able to answer this question.

What plans do you have for 2020?

In 2020 we’re hoping to record the second album, to have even more concerts than in 2019 and, in summer, to play at as many festivals in the country as possible.

Do you have any message for your fans who will read this interview?

To come to our concerts in order to meet each other through the charms of music.

Trupa a luat naștere din dorința noastră de a exprima diferite stări, emoții, frustrări și trăiri și din speranța că oamenii care ne ascultă vor rezona cu ele.

De unde provine numele trupei?

Numele trupei reflectă diversitatea temelor și subiectelor regăsite în versurile și sunetele noastre.

Cine sunt idolii voştri în muzică?

Care este obiectivul vostru ca trupa pentru urmatorii 5-10 ani?

Obiectivul nostru este să cântăm cât mai mult, în cât mai multe orașe din țară, să reușim să înregistrăm cât mai multe cântece pe care deja le-am compus și să ajungem la cât mai multe urechi și suflete.

În urmă cu ceva timp ați lansat albumul “Două Minute”. De unde a venit inspirația pentru melodii?

Albumul ilustrează câteva peisaje specifice tinereții unui om, niște întâmplări cu care ne întâmplăm fie că vrem sau nu.

Care credeți că este cea mai buna melodie de pe album şi de ce?

Toate cântecele sunt copiii noștri și îi iubim în egală măsură. Nu o sa putem niciodată să răspundem la întrebarea asta.

Ce planuri aveți pentru 2020?

În 2020 intenționăm să întregistrăm al doilea album, să avem și mai multe concerte față de 2019 și la vară să ajungem la cât mai multe festivaluri din țară.

Aveți vreun mesaj pentru fanii voştri şi cei ce vor citi acest interviu?

Să vină la concertele noastre ca să ne cunoaștem prin farmecele muzicii.
