3519 new cases have been declared in the last 24 hours in Romania, an unfortunate record, but the latest decisions show that Romanians are stupid.

Even though there is no clear evidence that concerts organizers broke the rules, more and more concerts and festivals are banned in Romania. On the other hand, nobody is talking about closing the activity of churches, which are now considered “essential”.

Now there are more than 18 300 churches in Romania and, as a fact, only 570 hospitals (data from 2016). The Romanian Churches are not paying taxes and they are financed from the public budget! (Still “essential business”? Huh?) Also, there were many COVID-19 cases directly related to religious processions. More than that, Iaşi is now filled with protests after a religious event with more than 100 000 people has been banned, a normal act in this period.

In Bucharest, operas, theaters and restaurants have already been closed and indoor concerts have been banned.

We want an explanation, dear Romanian Government! It’s not acceptable to destroy the music and art industry just because you don’t have the courage to close the churches before the elections!!! These people will lose their jobs and these people are paying taxes! We, the majority of people from the music industry, are not anti-maskers, we are not anti-vaxxers, we followed the rules and we still are the punished ones. Are you mental?

We want equality and smart decisions, punish the ones who are not following the rules!
