Every once in a while, somebody suggest you check out an album or two, and as a person who’s reading a Rock Monsters album review, this must’ve happened to you at least once because I certainly can’t be the only one who discovers great songs like this. As this happens to be the case with the album that I’m about to present to you, I thought that somebody really needs to say at least a few words about it and the band because, let me tell you, listening to them made me feel the need to jump around the house, bang my head, knock some shelves over (you might know the story).

Without further ado, allow me to present Grinder, a Thrash/Groove Metal band from Constanța, Romania. Formed in 2019, the band consists of drummer Patrick Preda, guitarists Alex Stan and Victor Baltag, bassist Sebi Vintila and Cezar Cristurean as vocalist.
This year, on July 8th, they dropped their first self-titled album and it sounds absolutely great! Intense and powerful, it’s the kind of album that you end up feeling empty inside when you finish listening to it, makes you want to play it on repeat. The instruments are right on point, nothing is left out, the vocals are strong and I love the rhythms and all the riffs. Listening to them with your headphones on is a truly amazing experience, but at some point I ended up thinking this doesn’t do the songs justice because they should be heard live! But don’t let my love for concerts distract you, I truly enjoyed the quality of the sound because not every day you can clearly hear every instrument: the precise drums and they way the rhythm changes, followed by the bass that not only has a great tone, but consistency as well and the driving guitars, with a complex, dark sound.
