Charades is a cocktail of 11 diverse melodies, each reflecting the creativity and unique style of The Groovy Bastards. Moreover, on April 4th, the band will provide a sneak peek of the album by releasing a preview of the music video for the song EverStay, which will be featured on the upcoming album.

The Groovy Bastards burst onto the Bucharest scene in 2015, bringing forth contagious energy and an eclectic blend of musical styles. With Ioana Vișinescu on vocals, Andrei Bălașa on guitar, Theo Ionescu on drums, and Masha Enache on bass, they have an atypical sound that merges elements from funk, rock, progressive, jazz, R&B, and hip-hop. Their signature lies in a unique live performance, the colorful personalities of the members, and the fresh style reflected in their original compositions.

Among the band’s achievements are winning awards at the Jazz Festivals in Sibiu and Târgu Mureș, notable appearances at the Jazz Festival in Bulgaria (“Ruse Jazz Festival”), as well as concerts in numerous venues across the country. They have also had the honor of sharing the stage with world-class artists such as Marco Mendoza, Bumblefoot, and Rosenberg Trio.

In 2017, they were awarded the title of “Revelation of the Year” at the Muzza Festival, and in 2019, they received further recognition, being nominated for the “Band of the Year” category at the same festival. In 2023, they won the second prize at the prestigious Rock Festival in Posada, Câmpulung Muscel.
