The Strizzers release De ajuns, their first song with lyrics in Romanian. The new single explores the tension between personal authenticity and the rigid expectations of society, offering an honest perspective on the struggle to define oneself. Available starting today on all streaming platforms, the digital release will be followed by a launch concert taking place on April 28 at Control Club. Tickets will be available exclusively at the entrance on the night of the event.

After their debut marked by the album Some Kind of Hero and recent success at festivals such as Odyssea Rock Fusion and Rock’N’Iași, The Strizzers have taken on a new challenge: creating music in Romanian. This decision comes from their desire to communicate more directly and deeply with their local audience.

Stylistically, the new track continues the heavier direction the band embraced with the release of the single I Am a Winner, showcasing a vocal and instrumental maturity that hints at the direction of their upcoming EP. De ajuns continues to explore the theme of personal authenticity, acting as a manifesto for anyone who has felt that external standards, from professional success to gender roles, can become an overwhelming burden.

“The thought of living a life that doesn’t belong to me, just to please others, scares me far more than the idea of disappointing them by being myself. At that point, the decision to embrace my authenticity became simple. De ajuns is about turning helplessness into strength through music, and I hope those who listen to us will resonate with our message and join us on Tuesday at the live release in Control Club,” says Monica Costin, the band’s vocalist.

For the launch concert at Control Club, The Strizzers are preparing an extended setlist along with a series of special moments. Joining them on stage as special guests will be Laura Brat (Tragic), Romina Apostol (The Voodoo Child), and Mădălin Duca (Jack of all Trades).

The Strizzers are an alternative rock band from Bucharest, known for their energetic live performances and the powerful voice of lead singer Monica-Elena Costin. Active since 2022, the band has released several singles along with their debut album Some Kind of Hero.

With honest messages and a bold alternative rock sound, The Strizzers have strengthened their stage presence through concerts in key cities across Romania and appearances at festivals such as Evergreen Fest, Timișoara City Celebration, Odyssea Rock Fusion, and Rock’N’Iași. Beyond the country’s borders, the band also marked their first international experience with a mini-tour in Bulgaria titled Beyond Borders, alongside the band People of Maha. This steady evolution brings an authentic rock spirit to the stage, where passion and experience translate into a direct and mature connection with the audience.
