Bucharest duo We Singing Colors celebrates 15 years of music this year with a concert taking place on May 27 at Control Club.
To mark the occasion, the band released a new single on May 13, titled “Cânt în Culori,” named after the same inspiration that originally sparked the band itself.

The song speaks about the atmosphere within We Singing Colors, the way they perceive music, and especially how they relate to their audience and everyone who has connected (or will connect) with their songs at some point.
The track was recorded at Meaningful Recordings with Alexandru Ioniță as producer and sound engineer. Alongside Roxana Niculae (vocals) and Andrei Hațegan (vocals/guitar), contributors included Vlad Ionescu (drums), Cătălin Lungu (electric guitar), and Alexandros Charangionis (bass).
Cânt în Culori also comes with a music video filmed and edited by Mihai Dragolea and directed by Andrei Hațegan, shot in an intriguing location that viewers will discover by watching the clip.
“For Cânt în Culori, we decided to film in one of my favorite areas in the country, the Bărăgan region, near the Ialomița River. This Balkan western-style scenery — the Eiffel Tower in the middle of the desert/Bărăgan — gave us a colorful atmosphere, just like the one We Singing Colors sings about,” says Mihai Dragolea.
The song can be streamed on platforms including Spotify and Tidal.
Tickets for the May 27 concert at Control are available here.
We Singing Colors first gained recognition on the Romanian music scene in 2011 and became easily identifiable thanks to the whistling featured in their song Good Days Bad Days from their debut album Made of Wool, Made of Heavy Metal (2014). Since then, they have performed extensively in clubs and festivals across Romania, as well as in the United Kingdom, Japan, and India, and have participated in concerts, radio sessions, and showcases in Spain, Bulgaria, Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia, and Moldova.
Their second album, Lone Learner, was released in 2018. In March 2023, following a pandemic-enforced break, the duo released Hopium, their third studio album, followed by a series of singles, concerts, and music videos in the years that followed.
