For the first time in their career, American rock band Breaking Benjamin will perform in Romania, taking the stage at Arenele Romane on June 27. Widely regarded as one of the defining names of 21st-century alternative metal, the band arrives in Bucharest after more than two decades of international success, bringing a catalog that has earned multiple gold and platinum certifications and established them as a staple of major rock and metal festivals around the world.

Formed in 1999 by Benjamin Burnley and Jeremy Hummel, Breaking Benjamin built their reputation on a blend of alternative metal and hard rock enriched with occasional grunge influences. Across six studio albums, the band has amassed an impressive commercial record, earning four Gold and three Platinum certifications while cultivating a loyal global fanbase through a combination of heavy riffs, melodic songwriting, and emotionally charged lyrics.
Over the years, the group has appeared on the stages of some of the world’s most prominent rock and metal festivals, including Download Festival, Rock am Ring, and Nova Rock Festival. They have also shared tours with major acts such as Avenged Sevenfold, Five Finger Death Punch, and Korn, further cementing their status within the international rock and metal scene.
After entering a four-year hiatus in 2010, the band resumed activities in 2014 and has maintained a stable lineup ever since. Today, Breaking Benjamin consists of vocalist and guitarist Benjamin Burnley, guitarists Jasen Rauch and Keith Wallen, bassist Aaron Bruch, and drummer Shaun Foist, a lineup that has remained unchanged throughout the band’s modern era.
The upcoming Bucharest concert marks a significant milestone for Romanian fans, who will have the opportunity to see Breaking Benjamin perform live in the country for the very first time.
