GROZA Returns to Bucharest on June 9, Joined by Genune and Mauna Sol

On June 9, German band GROZA returns to Bucharest for a concert at Quantic, joined by Genune and Mauna Sol. The event brings together three projects from the black / post-black metal scene, each with its own distinct artistic direction.

Formed in Bavaria, Germany, in 2016, GROZA began as the solo project of vocalist and multi-instrumentalist P.G., evolving into a full band in 2018 with the release of their debut album “Unified In Void.” The record quickly attracted attention within the scene and led to the band signing with AOP Records, a label associated with some of the most prominent names in contemporary European black metal.

With a sound rooted in atmospheric and melodic black metal, GROZA has built its identity through expansive compositions, dense atmospheres, and a carefully balanced interplay between aggression and cold melodic passages. Their 2021 album “The Redemptive End” further solidified this direction and entered the official German charts, marking an important milestone in the band’s evolution.

Having performed more than 120 concerts across over 20 countries, GROZA is now a constant presence on the European touring circuit. Their latest album, “Nadir” (2024), continues the path established on previous releases, featuring heavier compositions and an even stronger emphasis on atmosphere.

Opening the evening will be Genune and Mauna Sol.

Genune, a band from Cluj-Napoca, explores the introspective and melancholic side of black metal, expanding the genre’s language through influences from shoegaze, post-rock, neofolk, and electronic music. Their latest album, “Infinite Presence” (2025), was released through Consouling Sounds, a label known for working with artists such as Amenra and Wiegedood.

Mauna Sol, a project founded by guitarist Marius Licu, builds its music through a collaborative creative process, with George Costan responsible for the thematic direction. Following their live debut in 2022 at Rockstadt Fest, the band has gradually established its place within the local scene through an approach that brings together the diverse influences of its members.

The GROZA, Genune and Mauna Sol concert takes place on June 9 at Quantic, Bucharest.
