On June 20 and 21, the Mihai Eminescu Amphitheater becomes an open space for debates, workshops, urban tours, art and new media, films, an urban brunch, activations, and concerts. The event is free of charge and open to the public, with prior registration required at www.newurbanhabits.com.

On June 20 and 21, the new Urban Habits festival takes place at the Mihai Eminescu Amphitheater, a free event open to all. Over the course of two days, the festival brings together conversations, debates, workshops, guided tours, exhibitions, art and new media installations, film screenings, an urban brunch, activations, and concerts in a format accessible to the general public.
Organized by UrbanizeHub, an NGO working on issues related to cities, communities, public participation, and sustainable urban development, the festival offers a weekend open to everyone, where Bucharest is explored through conversations, workshops, urban tours, exhibitions, art and new media installations, films, an urban brunch, activations, and concerts.
The program is built around three main directions: INSPIRE, featuring debates on cities, mobility, housing, sustainability, and heritage with remarkable guests from Romania and around the world; EDUCATE, with workshops, guided tours, exceptional masterclasses, and activities for children; and CONNECT, a space dedicated to encounters between the public, art, film, music, communities, and urban solutions.
Visitors will be able to discover an exhibition area featuring projects related to Bucharest, including “Free Squares” by UrbanizeHub, “The Perfect Neighborhood” developed by Storia, and the New Media Art exhibition “In the Heart of the City”, created with the support of PPC Romania.
Among the festival’s highlights are the byron & Muse Quartet open-air concert on Sunday evening and the surprise concert Backyard Secret Musical Apparition presented by the emerging concept Who’s on Stage. Also highly anticipated are the urban brunch hosted by Artesana and the film screenings.
New Urban Habits 2026 brings together guests from Romania and abroad, artists, experts, communities, civic organizations, public administration representatives, and the general public in a format that transforms conversations about the city into an accessible, vibrant, and participatory experience.
The festival is organized by UrbanizeHub and is made possible with the support of Garanti BBVA, HCL, Mihai Eminescu Cultural Center, and Sector 2 City Hall as main partners, alongside PPC, SNRB, the Embassy of Denmark, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and Storia, as well as media partners Europa FM, Munteanu Recomandă, and the magazines Republica, Zeppelin, and Green Community.
New Urban Habits 2026 takes place on June 20 and 21 and opens the Mihai Eminescu Summer Amphitheater to the public for two days.
