MMB Music x Brands Awards Launches: Romania’s first event recognizing cultural impact at the intersection of music and brands

Marking more than a decade since the founding of Mastering the Music Business, the new initiative sets the cultural benchmark for strategic collaborations across the industry.

Mastering the Music Business (MMB), Romania’s largest music industry conference and showcase festival, celebrates more than ten years of activity with the launch of a major new initiative: MMB Music x Brands Awards. The event is the first awards platform in Romania dedicated entirely to the intersection of the music industry and brand communication, celebrating campaigns and strategic partnerships that prove music shapes culture, going far beyond the role of a simple soundtrack or sponsorship.

The new initiative brings together renowned professionals from the music, marketing, branding, communications, and cultural sectors, including artists, managers, agencies, brand representatives, and experts from the creative industries, to evaluate and celebrate the region’s most impactful collaborations.

“Music and brands have created some of the most powerful cultural moments of the past decades. In Romania and Moldova, this space has grown, matured, and now the time has come to establish a benchmark.

For the past ten years, Mastering the Music Business has been the place where the music industry has raised its standards. MMB Music x Brands Awards continues this mission in an area where the stakes are high: collaborations that do more than promote, they shape culture. Our goal is to recognize the projects that dare to go beyond a campaign and, together, establish the benchmark by which future collaborations will be measured,” says Carina Sava, Head of Special Projects at Mastering the Music Business.

Competition Categories and Submission Opportunities

The competition is open to brands, companies, agencies, artists and their representatives, promoters, as well as event organizers who have developed impactful music-related projects. Entries may be submitted across six main categories, covering a wide range of activities, from live experiences and the use of music in advertising campaigns to artist partnerships, brand integrations within music content, support for emerging talent, and campaigns with social impact. Winners of these categories will automatically qualify for the Grand Prix.

Official submissions open on Wednesday, July 1, and eligible projects may be entered until the submission deadline of September 27. Following the submission period, the judging process will take place, culminating on November 3 with the MMB Music x Brands Awards Gala, hosted at Club Expirat in Bucharest.

The full evaluation calendar, eligibility criteria, and submission form are available on the official website.
