SUMMER WELL celebrates 15 years. The festival that transformed music into a cultural universe returns this August

Some festivals are all about the concerts. Then there is Summer Well, where music is only the beginning.

From 7 to 9 August, Știrbey Estate in Buftea will once again become the meeting point for those looking for more than just a line up. Fifteen years after its first edition, Summer Well continues to redefine the way contemporary culture is experienced, bringing together music, art, design, temporary architecture, gastronomy and creative communities in a festival that has built a universe of its own.

This year, more than 20 artists, three stages and a series of curated experiences will transform every corner of the estate into a space with its own identity. It is not just about who takes the stage, but about the atmosphere between concerts, the unexpected discoveries and the collective energy that makes every edition unique.

Three stages. Three worlds. One soundtrack of the summer.

The Orange Main Stage brings together the artists defining this anniversary edition. From the unmistakable intensity of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds to the explosive energy of Palaye Royale, the emotional songwriting of Charlotte Cardin and the cinematic sound of Two Feet, the main stage offers a line up designed for moments that stay with you long after the final encore. They are joined by artists such as DE’WAYNE, Noga Erez and Jalen Ngonda, three of the most exciting voices in contemporary music, spanning a wide range of genres.

The Sunset Stage by ING x VISA is dedicated to those who discover artists before they reach the mainstream. Indie, electronic, alternative and experimental projects come together in a line up that shines a spotlight on the next generation of artists and the future of international music. The stage will also welcome 2hollis, one of the defining alternative acts of his generation, alongside projects such as ZEP, Chalk and the Neapolitan duo Nu Genea.

Electro Punk Club returns for its second year and continues to be one of the festival’s most spectacular experiences. Created in collaboration with the Space Objekt collective, the venue functions as an immersive club inspired by the underground aesthetics of 1970s Los Angeles. Neon façades, visual installations, electronic music, punk and an atmosphere that transforms every night into a collective performance, drawing inspiration from legendary venues such as Madam Wong’s and Hong Kong Cafe. This is where you’ll find British band The Molotovs, Korean punk trio Sailor Honeymoon, as well as representatives of Romania’s alternative scene, Getchoo and Armand Popa.

After the concerts, another story begins

At Summer Well, the experience does not end when the lights go down on the main stage.

Throughout the festival, brand activations become cultural and social spaces, while parties curated especially for this anniversary edition extend the experience well into the night, including the afterparty series hosted by glo™.

Music, visual installations, performances and artistic interventions create a new setting for meeting, exploring and connecting every evening, turning the estate into an urban playground where the boundaries between club, gallery and festival become increasingly blurred.

15 years of Summer Well

In a landscape where festivals are constantly evolving, Summer Well has remained true to its identity as an event built around curiosity, creative communities and experiences that go beyond music.

The anniversary edition celebrates 15 years during which the festival has become one of the defining moments of the Romanian summer, a place where pop culture, contemporary aesthetics and music naturally come together.

This August, Știrbey Estate once again becomes the place where the soundtrack of the summer is not only heard, but truly lived.

Festival passes are available at summerwell.ro for RON 513 plus booking fees. Single day tickets are also available at RON 351 plus booking fees for Friday and Saturday, while Sunday tickets are priced at RON 426 plus booking fees.
