Rock Revolution Fest Bobâlna 2026 Enters the Final Stretch: Three Days of Rock, Engines, Tradition and Energy at the Bobâlna Uprising Monument

Rock Revolution Fest Bobâlna is preparing for its third edition, which will take place from August 21 to 23, 2026, at the plateau surrounding the Bobâlna Uprising Monument. Building on a story that began three years ago, the festival is taking an important step forward this year by officially welcoming international artists and bands to its stage.

For three days, the Bobâlna plateau will become a meeting place for rock music lovers, bringing together artists representing a wide range of styles, from hard rock, heavy metal and gothic metal to progressive, alternative and folk metal, as well as other expressions of the genre.

A Line Up for Every Kind of Rock Fan

The 2026 edition features a diverse line up designed to appeal to a broad audience while also marking the festival’s international expansion. Artists taking the stage at Rock Revolution Fest Bobâlna include Dirty Shirt from Romania, Temperance from Italy, Kempes from Romania, Vermilia from Finland, E An Na and Focul Viu from Romania, Condorii Negri from the Republic of Moldova, Gothic from Romania, Mystfall from Greece, Sur Austru, Katharein, Ravi Hazard, Symphress, Blackout, Athoris, Halta H, Hyle, Ashfall, Sonic Overload, Yesterday’s Pasta and Lacrima Noctis, all representing Romania.

Through this line up, the organizers aim to bring together both established names from the rock scene and emerging artists, giving festivalgoers the opportunity to experience familiar favorites while discovering new sounds and bands.

Motorcycles Return to the Heart of the Festival

After the previous edition was affected by unfavorable weather, the organizers are determined to bring back one of the festival’s most spectacular moments and take it to a new level. The Rock Revolution Fest motorcycle parade, organized together with Revolution Bikers, will take place on Saturday, August 22, beginning at 12:00 PM.

The parade will start directly from the Uprising Monument Plateau, in the heart of the festival, before travelling through Bobâlna and Dej and returning to the festival grounds. Motorcyclists are invited to join the event and help transform the parade into a celebration on two wheels, bringing the spirit of Rock Revolution Fest to communities throughout the region.

More Than a Music Festival

Rock Revolution Fest is designed to offer much more than an evening of concerts. Visitors arriving in Bobâlna during the day will be able to explore an area dedicated to interactive activities, creativity and traditional crafts.

The festival experience will include painting and graphic arts, weaving and sewing, pottery, wood and stone carving, wicker weaving and bracelet making. Visitors will also be able to take part in creative workshops, guitar lessons and horse riding activities.

By combining these experiences with live music, motorcycles and the natural surroundings of Bobâlna, the organizers hope to create a festival that goes beyond the traditional concert format and brings together rock, nature, tradition and creativity.

“Daytime at Rock Revolution Fest should not simply be a period of waiting until the concerts begin. We want people to come to Bobâlna for the entire experience, to discover the place, take part in activities, meet one another, socialize and enjoy the festival atmosphere from the very first hours of the day,” the organizers say.

Free Camping for the Full Festival Experience

Visitors who want to stay in Bobâlna throughout the festival will have access to free camping, allowing them to experience all three days without leaving the festival atmosphere behind.

The camping area will include toilets and showers, providing the necessary facilities for those choosing to stay in tents and fully immerse themselves in the Rock Revolution Fest experience.

A Scenic Journey to Bobâlna

The festival grounds are easily accessible for visitors travelling from both Cluj Napoca and Dej. Those arriving from Cluj Napoca can follow the road toward Dej and turn left toward Cornești in Fundătura. The route continues through Igriția, where visitors can follow the signs toward the Bobâlna Uprising Monument.

Visitors arriving from Dej can head toward the Uprising Monument from the Bobâlna Town Hall area. The road leading to the festival plateau is now fully paved, offering faster and more comfortable access.

The journey itself is part of the experience, taking visitors through a dramatic landscape of rolling hills and forests before arriving at the festival grounds.

Three Days, One Stage and One Destination

With its 2026 edition, Rock Revolution Fest Bobâlna continues to strengthen its identity and takes another important step toward becoming a landmark rock event for Transylvania.

From August 21 to 23, Bobâlna will become the meeting place for a community united by a shared passion for music and freedom. Rock, motorcycles, nature and tradition will come together over three days at the Uprising Monument Plateau, creating an experience that aims to be about much more than the music alone.

Rock Revolution Fest Bobâlna 2026 is where the revolution begins with music.
