Swedish black metal band GRÁ, together with DOOMSDAY ASTRONAUT, FITTONIA, and SHIFTING SANDS, complete the recital lineup for the 40th anniversary edition of Posada Rock Festival, taking place from August 28 to 30, 2026, at the Municipal Stadium in Câmpulung Muscel.

GRÁ is a black metal band founded in Stockholm in 2010. One of its founding members is Heljarmadr, who has also been the vocalist of Dark Funeral since 2014.

“It has been 10 long years since GRÁ last set foot on Romanian soil, and we are more than proud to announce that we are finally returning! For those unfamiliar with our music, we are a Swedish black metal band focused on depth, hypnotic rhythms, and ancient mythology. For those who have seen us before, welcome back to our ever evolving ritual! We are deeply honored to be part of Posada Rock 2026!” says Heljarmadr.

DOOMSDAY ASTRONAUT, FITTONIA, and SHIFTING SANDS have one important thing in common: all three are award winning bands at Posada Rock over the past 15 years.

Sibiu based DOOMSDAY ASTRONAUT won the Grand Prize at Posada Rock 2022. The band plays progressive metal and has performed at Wacken Open Air.

Cluj based FITTONIA are returning to Posada Rock this year after their energetic and modern performance in 2025 earned them the Grand Prize.

Another highly anticipated return to Câmpulung is that of SHIFTING SANDS, who won First Prize at Posada Rock 2011 with their melodic prog metal and delighted audiences at major festivals a decade ago.

GRÁ, DOOMSDAY ASTRONAUT, FITTONIA, and SHIFTING SANDS join the major names already announced for this year’s Posada Rock Festival: DARK FUNERAL, MOONSPELL, SOEN, TIAMAT, CARACH ANGREN, MASSACRE, and EVIL INVADERS.

The lineup is completed by the 10 underground bands competing in the final of Romania’s oldest and most prestigious rock competition: AL GHEHENII, ATHORIS, DIZIDENT, EXUVIATH, GRINDER, KING SOLOMON, REVERSE THE MOMENT, +SHE+, SYMPHRESS, and ZGRIPSORUM.

Tickets

Day tickets are now available at bilete.posadarock.com and cost 150 lei plus ticketing fees for Friday, and 200 lei plus ticketing fees for Saturday and Sunday.

Given the high demand for festival passes, the number of tickets available for each festival day will be limited to just 300 tickets.

The Friends Package is also available, allowing groups of friends who want to attend the festival together to purchase 4 festival passes for the price of 3.

A full festival pass costs 450 lei plus ticketing fees.

Posada Rock Festival 2026, the 40th anniversary edition, is organized by Rock Culture Association in partnership with the Câmpulung City Hall. The festival is a cultural project funded by the Ministry of Culture.
