Villagers of Ioannina City to Bring New Album “Venceremos” to Quantic Club on October 22

Greek psychedelic rock band Villagers of Ioannina City will return to Bucharest on October 22, 2026, for a concert at Quantic Club as part of the tour supporting their upcoming studio album, “Venceremos,” released on September 18 via Napalm Records.
One of Greece’s most acclaimed alternative rock acts, Villagers of Ioannina City have built a distinctive sound by combining heavy rock, psychedelic influences and progressive arrangements with traditional music from the Epirus region. Formed in 2007, the band has developed a musical identity that brings together powerful riffs, atmospheric passages and the sounds of traditional Greek instruments.
Following their debut album, “Riza” (2014), and the widely praised “Age of Aquarius” (2019), the band are preparing to enter a new chapter with “Venceremos,” their most ambitious studio release to date. The album takes their sound in a heavier and more intense direction, incorporating elements of progressive metal while retaining the folk influences that have become central to their identity.
The first singles offer a glimpse of this evolution. “Ghosts in the Sky” combines heavy grooves with a cinematic atmosphere, while the title track, “Venceremos,” builds tension through dynamic shifts and powerful vocals. At more than seven minutes long, “Requiem” pushes the band’s progressive and traditional influences further, culminating in an epic heavy rock finale.
The upcoming Bucharest show will also mark a welcome return to Romanian audiences, following the enthusiastic reception the band received at SoundArt Festival 2025. Villagers of Ioannina City are set to bring their powerful blend of psychedelic rock and Greek musical heritage back to the stage at Quantic, with material from their forthcoming album expected to take centre stage.
Tickets are available through the iabilet.
