New Model Army’s Justin Sullivan and Dean White Bring an Intimate Acoustic Show to Cluj
Cluj Napoca is set for a special evening with the spirit of legendary British underground rock band New Model Army this autumn, as frontman Justin Sullivan and guitarist and keyboardist Dean White bring their semi acoustic show to Atelier.
Now in their 46th year, New Model Army remain a vital force in alternative rock, continuing to captivate audiences worldwide with their powerful live performances and uncompromising musical vision. Their recent albums, from the groundbreaking Between Dog and Wolf (2013) to Unbroken (2024), have earned widespread critical acclaim and renewed commercial success.
The upcoming performance offers a different perspective on the band’s music. Presented in a semi acoustic format, Sullivan’s distinctive vocals and songwriting take centre stage, accompanied by White’s versatile musicianship. The result is a more intimate experience that preserves much of the emotional depth, intensity and raw energy that have defined New Model Army for decades.
Having performed in venues ranging from tiny clubs to major festival stages, as well as some far less conventional locations, the duo have proved that the power of these songs transcends any setting.
