The Voodoo Child, June Turns Black, and Underwaves take the stage at Quantic on October 25 for an event celebrating the power, control, and diversity of female voices in Romania’s underground rock and metal scene.

They say metal is a male dominated genre, but on October 25 at Quantic Club, women are here to change the rules. RageHer is a project conceived and organized entirely by women, born from a simple desire to shine a spotlight on the women making waves in Romania’s rock and metal scene. No clichés, no half measures, just heavy music, pure energy, and a lineup showcasing the diversity and power of female artists performing aggressive styles in the underground scene.

Underwaves (Melodic Metalcore / Deathcore)

Formed in 2017, Underwaves bring a unique blend of alternative metalcore with deathcore influences to the stage. Their sound is a roller coaster of raw power and intense emotion, a compelling combination that has quickly made them one of the most dynamic bands on both the national and international underground scenes. Their live shows are incredibly energetic and thrilling.

June Turns Black (Modern Metalcore)

Emerging in Bucharest in 2023, June Turns Black prove that a band can sound fresh while being fiercely aggressive. With clear influences from bands such as Architects and Bring Me the Horizon, they strike the perfect balance between crushing breakdowns and deep melodic lines. Their lyrics explore inner struggles and personal transformation, delivered with unfiltered intensity and brutal honesty, while their stage presence is guaranteed to electrify the audience.

The Voodoo Child (Hard Rock / Alternative Metal)

Originally from Iași, the band delivers an explosive mix of hard rock, alternative metal, and blues influences. Since 2021, Romina Apostol, a finalist on Superstar and Vocea României, has taken the lead vocals. Her incredible voice has helped propel the band toward success. In 2025, they won the East European Rock Alliance Young Rock Contest, beating more than 130 bands from across Eastern Europe.
