Wavediver is a three piece band that takes a deep dive into the most intimate feelings and experiences, translating them into sonic waves. Blending raw distortion and digital texture with soothing vocals and vivid lyrics, they capture the complexity of human experience in all its pleasure and pain.

Wavediver’s sound is entirely created by Mircea, Ale and Denis, who come from different musical backgrounds yet fit together like the pieces of a puzzle, united by the shared desire to make their music feel as human and organic as possible in a heavily digitalised era.

Drawing heavy inspiration from bands such as Bad Omens, Jutes, Sace6, The Neighbourhood, Humanity’s Last Breath and Chase Atlantic, the trio has set out to shape their own sound with their debut single, Subliminal Intentions, released in July 2026 to a warm welcome from a surprising number of listeners.

Now, the band is back on the ascent with their second single, Infatuated, an intricate metalcore ballad with crushing riffs and silky smooth vocals. Changing genres midway through, the track turns into a lustful ode to romantic obsession. The single is accompanied by a music video showcasing the band’s raw energy and performance, something you can expect to see live on stage in the very near future.

The Story Behind Infatuated

Quotes from the band about their new single:

“«Infatuated» was inspired by the feeling of yearning. I’ve noticed that when someone doesn’t feel the same way about me, I somehow end up wanting them even more. That feeling is what inspired the lyrics.” – Denis

“For me, the song conveys feelings of both yearning and uncertainty. It captures that feeling when you sense there might be a slight possibility of mutual romantic interest because there’s some breadcrumbing going on, however, asking for confirmation might feel like too big of a risk to take.” – Ale

“This song is about being so drawn to someone that you start losing your sense of clarity and reason. Even the instrumental is intentionally tailored to the story, every element feeling like it could last just a little bit longer.” – Mircea

When they’re not rehearsing for their upcoming stage debut, the band is hard at work finishing new songs, which will culminate in a complete debut EP in the months to come.
